I Ran Away
San Diego-based creative agency, Mortis Studio have created a video-collage in celebration of the song’s release. Using footage from an audience-less live show at Look Park, as well the ‘Sweep It into Space’ recording sessions (filmed by frequent Dino-documentarian Joe Salinas) in Northampton, MA, each frame in this music video was crumbled, torn, drawn-on and folded one-by-one before being animated at 10 frames/second. This amounted to over 2,400 photographed pages. This style of animation brought the video to life by giving it a tactile feel through each sequence.
I love this video but there was not a lot of press around it that I can find just because when the single was dropped, it was released along with this official visualizer.
