Where you Been?

On the way…

I’ve been a wreck so long
It’s hard to pull it back
But I’m on it……
So…, the website is back. After like… however long it’s been, I finally got around to doing something about it. What did I miss LOL. Freak Scene was basically broken because WordPress decided to be a pain in the ass and I couldn’t be bothered to fix it for ages. Life got in the way, you know how it goes. Most folks moved to the socials and so did we but I missed having this up here too.

Anyway, I’m porting everything to his Hugo The site is still a mess as I continue to go through and add content. I’m not even telling anyone it’s back up yet. Consider this a soft launch or whatever. It might look completely different tomorrow because I’m still figuring stuff out.

So this means:

• Faster loading times - No more waiting around like we’re stuck in a “Freak Scene”
• Better security - Less chance of getting hacked than a “Bug” in the system
• Improved reliability - Fewer things that can go wrong, so we won’t be asking “What Else Is New?”
• Easier maintenance - Should be smooth sailing, not a “Blowing It” situation
• More Dad Jokes - too bad for you

**What I’m Working On **

I’ve been slowly going through the old content, starting with the obvious stuff:

• Yeah, I’m working on the discography section. I’ll add more as I get time in batchess:
• Track listings and whatever
• Release dates and label info
• Album artwork and stuff

📺 Promo Videos & TV Performances

• Music videos
• TV appearances
• Late night show clips

Expanding the Archive

🎤 Related Artists Section
Adding/restoring coverage of related artists and projects:

• Other bands, side projects, collaborations
• Band members’ other musical stuff

🎬 Live Concert Archive
Even while the site was down, we never stopped curating things we have found out there:

• Concert recordings and setlists
• Fan photos and videos
• Historical tour stuff

📰 Press Archive
Plan to build out a press archive section with articles/links:

• Interviews and articles
• Album reviews (maybe….)
• Magazine features
• Press releases

Community Features

Forum Integration I’m not bringing the forums back yet. Maybe later. The old forums were absolutely amazing before social media came. I might restore them if people actually care. For now, you can follow us on social media or join one of the other forums, my favorites being .DinosaurJrFans on Facebook and r/DinosaurJr on Reddit

Whatever

This is an ongoing project, and I’ll be pushing up more ported content/changes as time allows. As always, the place to go for tour dates is DinosaurJr.com. At the time of me posting this, Dinosaur Jr. is heading out with Snail Mail and Easy Action!

Thanks for your patience during this transition period, I guess. The new site is faster, more reliable, and ready to grow with our community or whatever. Keep checking back for updates as I continue to build out the archive and add new features when I get around to it.
